  • Dr. Shuai Tang (Associate professor/Researcher, PhD supervisor, SYSU web)
    Shuai Tang is an associate professor/researcher and doctoral supervisor (副教授、青年研究员、博导) at Sun Yat-sen University. He is honored with the National Overseas High-level Young Talent Program (国家海外高层次青年人才). He graduated from Sun Yat-sen University with a Ph.D. in 2017. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute for Materials Science in Japan from 2018 to 2022. He joined the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University in June 2022. He is engaged in the research on the preparation of nano cold cathode electron sources and the application of related equipment. He has published more than 50 SCI/EI papers, applied for more than 10 invention patents, and been invited to give more than 10 academic reports. He hosts over 7 funds including key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology (科技部重点研发课题)and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (国自然科学基金). He won the Excellent Report Award at the Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Electron Microscopy and the Best Poster Award of the Chinese Vacuum Society. He is also a young editorial board member of Journal of Materials Science & Technology, Progress in Natural Science Materials International, and guest editor of the field emission special issue of Nanomaterials and the special issue of vacuum micro-nanoelectronics and devices of the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology.
